Romanian road trip
A few days ago we crossed into Romania, and yesterday we arrived at the furthest destination in our route so far. Brasov is a beautiful medieval town in southern Transylvania with most of its ancient fortifications and buildings still intact. Last night we did a two hour walking tour with a local girl who spoke incredible English and had a great sense of humor.
The ride through the rural countryside and mountains has been an adventure so far with virtually no traffic laws being followed. The locals think nothing of passing on blind corners and hills at twice the speed limit. We’ve seen a few accidents with one being a tractor trailer full of dirt that went into a turn too fast and tipped over.
Heading out this morning to do more exploring.
